Two official trailers have dropped. Here's what each one confirmed and what to rewatch before launch.
Trailer 1 — December 2023
The reveal trailer. Confirmed:
- Return to Vice City
- Lucia as a protagonist
- Modern setting (smartphones, social media, drones)
- Florida Man-style internet culture references
Trailer 2 — May 2025
The story trailer. Confirmed:
- Jason Duval as the second protagonist
- Romantic dynamic between Jason and Lucia
- Multiple regions of Leonida
- Several supporting characters
- Tone: pulpy crime drama, less satirical than GTA V
What to watch for in Trailer 3
Rockstar typically drops one more trailer 4–8 weeks before launch focused on gameplay systems. Expect it sometime September–October 2026. That trailer usually reveals:
- Combat / shooting mechanics
- Driving model changes
- Online / multiplayer plans
- Any next-gen-only features (ray tracing, world density)
